As an Engineering Intern on the Halifax Infirmary Expansion project, I contributed to the project management team with a focus on quality management.

• Quality

  • Assisted Quality Manager in reviewing subcontractor plans, addressing deficiencies, and ensuring compliance.

  • Managed Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection and Test Reports (ITRs), maintaining trackers and reviewing test reports for compliance.

  • Maintained accurate filing systems for quality documents to ensure accessibility and transparency.

• Turnover Packages

  • Compiled turnover packages for two smaller projects, including drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and inspection records.

• Cost Estimation

  • Estimated temporary power costs by analyzing energy forecasts, historical usage data, and seasonal variations, incorporating taxes and servicing fees.

• Scheduling and Progress Reporting

  • Gained experience in Primavera P6, monitoring activity durations and preparing a monthly schedule update reports for the client.
